Sweden says it will halt all exercises and military ties with Russia because of the Georgia conflict.
The Swedish government is calling it unacceptable for Moscow to send troops into Georgia. It has described the military action as destabilizing and a crime that violates international law.
Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt said in a statement Monday that "under the current state of emergency, the government does not believe it is the right time to carry out military exercises with Russia or visitor exchanges with individual Russian military units."
