Bar Refaeli's father released after arrest for suspected police assault

According to Channel 2, police arrested the father of the Israeli supermodel days after she gave birth to her first child.

Rafael 'Rafi' Refaeli, the father of Israeli supermodel and new mother Bar Refaeli, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer over the weekend, police announced Monday.
Rafaeli is due to arrive at the Lod District Court on Monday afternoon for a hearing on the incident.
Police arrested Refaeli and brought him in for questioning on Saturday. Authorities released him Sunday on house arrest for an additional three days. Another male was also arrested along with Refaeli and later released.
The incident occurred when police were called to the home of the supermodel's parents in the Sharon region due to noise complaints.

When the police officers arrived, they found a private party taking place at the residence with various speakers in the yard blasting music at a level in violation of local noise regulations.
According to one female police officer who arrived at the scene, when she attempted to enter the yard she was stopped by the supermodel's father. After backup forces were called in the elder Refaeli allegedly ensued in a verbal assault and a physical confrontation with the officers alongside his friend.
On Monday morning police reportedly arrived to Refaeli's house and confiscated all video recordings of the incident.
The incident came to light after Bar Refaeli and husband Adi Ezra welcomed their first daughter into the world on Thursday.
The blonde beauty gave birth at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. The baby, named Liv was born healthy weighing in at 3.180 kilograms (7.01 pounds).
