A 41-year-old man was stabbed Sunday afternoon while riding a bike on Baal Shem Tov Street in Petah Tikva’s Mahaneh Yehuda neighborhood.
Medics found the man on the side of the road in critical condition, and he was pronounced dead at the Rabin Medical Center - Beilinson Campus.
According to the Sharon District Police the man was apparently stabbed by someone who drove by the victim. Police have arrested the victim’s brother, 28, on suspicion of the stabbing.
“On the sidewalk next to the road lied a man... suffering from stab wounds from the waist down,” said Magen David Adom medic Dan Rosen as quoted by Channel 2. “I immediately gave him medical treatment and bandaging to stop the bleeding, and with the assistance of other MDA teams that arrived at the scene we carried out resuscitation.”
This stabbing comes as another 27-year-old man was killed after being stabbed outside a Petah Tikva bar on Friday and a Sudanese asylum seeker succumbed to head wounds on Sunday after being attacked in Petah Tikva last week.
