Nights of the Round Tables

Reserve your seats, as Round Tables by American Express, a prestigious international culinary festival, is returning to Israel for the fourth time from November 9-23. This year's festival brings together eight of the world's best female chefs and their Israeli counterparts at restaurants in Tel Aviv. The internationally acclaimed chefs taking part are Mexico City's Chef Elena Reygadas, who received the Latin America's Best Female Chef award in 2014; Korean American television personality Chef Jody Joo; Italian Chef Isa Mazzocchi; Swiss-based Michelin-star Chef Tanja Grandits; Colombian Chef Leo Espinosa; American author and Chef Gabrielle Hamilton; Slovenian Chef Ana Ros; and Spanish Michelin-star Chef Maca de Castro. “This is the fourth year in which we have held the exciting meeting of chefs from all over the world, the local culinary endeavor and the creation of fascinating cultural ties that strengthens Israel's status as a gastronomic capital on a global scale,” said Yair Bekier, a co-founder of Round Tables. “This year, we decided to bring the women to the forefront of the stage, to raise awareness of the importance of women in the field and to create a bridge of creativity, one that combines the best chefs with raw materials, local culinary trends, and of course the most talented artists in the world.” Every hosting restaurant will offer diners a tasting menu featuring the signature dishes of the guest chef, seasoned with a pinch of local flavors and ingredients inspired by the host restaurant's Israeli chef. The hosting restaurants are Coffee Bar, Zepra, Nithan Thai, Pastel, Aria, Quattro, David & Yossef and Hayarkon 99 at the Dan Hotel (with a special kosher pop-up, the only kosher restaurant on the Round Tables itinerary).
