Bayit Yehudi Anglo Forum launched its own campaign to swell the party’s English-speaking ranks as part of the online membership drive launched on Monday.
“I call on Anglos to join and influence the direction of our party, and if enough do, our issues will be at the top of the party agenda,” said Bayit Yehudi Anglo Forum chairman Jeremy Saltan.
The membership drive allows Bayit Yehudi members to enter a code to designate some of their party dues toward certain party activities, and the Anglos Forum has its own code to fund its activities, events and causes.
The Anglo Forum called on like-minded Israelis to join the party, posting on Facebook: “Do you believe in a State of Israel that is both Jewish and democratic? Do you believe in a Nation of Israel that is working towards uniting our sectors instead of dividing them? Do you believe in a Torah of Israel that is inclusive and Zionistic? Do you believe in a Land of Israel without a Palestinian State west of the Jordan River? Do you believe that serving in the Israel Defense Force and National Service is a core Zionist value? Do you want to join the only Israeli party that has an Anglo section as mandated by its party constitution?”
The Bayit Yehudi membership drive launched on July 19, and its website accepting credit card payments went online on Wednesday. Previous members of the party must re-register. Members new or old will have to pay annual dues of NIS 59 per individual, NIS 45 for members aged 17-24 or senior citizens, or NIS 89 for a couple
