The Harlem Globetrotters capped their successful tour of Israel by thrilling fans in Jerusalem on Saturday.
The Globetrotters entertained the young and the old alike during four shows in Tel Aviv, Beersheba, Haifa and Jerusalem, as part of their world tour celebrating 90 years of athleticism, theater, and comedy.
While there are some question marks regarding the exact year in which the Globetrotters were founded, it was on the south side of Chicago, Illinois, that the team came to life.
Team owner Abe Saperstein selected Harlem, New York City, New York, as their home city, since Harlem was considered the center of African-American culture at the time.
Throughout their history, the Globetrotters have showcased their talents in 122 countries and territories on six continents.
The Globetrotters went 18 years without visiting Israel until their trip in 2008, but have made several visits since due to their popularity in the Holy Land.
