Stabbing, fighting, and fireworks, during Purim festivities

Illegal fireworks during Purim are common for the holiday's activities.

Police responded to multiple fights and stabbings that broke out during Purim festivities on late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
In Ness Ziona, three 22-year-old men were wounded from stabbings, two lightly injured and one moderately injured. Police received report of the fight at 1:40 a.m., and the injured were evacuated to Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot.
A police investigation is ongoing.
A 32-year-old woman was injured when a fight broke out on Y.L. Perets Street in Tel Aviv near the central bus station. Another 25-yearold man was stabbed in the upper body on Hahashmona’im Street in Bat Yam and evacuated in moderate condition to Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
In the Druse village of Beit Jann, two teenagers, ages 16 and 17, were stabbed in the upper body after an argument broke out, police said.
The wounded were evacuated in moderate condition to Western Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. Police said a third suspect was arrested, and during interrogation connected himself to the stabbing. The suspect was brought to the Acre Magistrate’s Court on Sunday.
Meanwhile, police are continuing to confiscate large amounts of illegal fireworks, which are in high demand during Purim. A Bnei Brak man in his 20s was arrested on Thursday, police said on Sunday, after he allegedly hid three crates of fireworks in his apartment.
“The Israeli police continue to enforce the law relating to dangerous toys to ensure public safety and prevent the spread of harmful toys,” police said Sunday.
On Thursday, police arrested two teenagers from the central region and confiscated hundreds of fireworks in an alleged firework trafficking ring.
