1. Keter innovation
Last week, the Keter Center for Innovation in Engineering and Design in memory of Yosef Sagol was inaugurated at the Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art. The center will host a large number of academic and social activities in the fields of design and engineering.
The building was donated by Yaakov Rosen, who has contributed greatly to the city of Ramat Gan. Attending were president of Shenkar, Prof.
Yuli Tamir; Chairman of the Board Zvi Yemini; Chairwoman of the Friends Association Orit Efrati; Sami Sagol, who financed the center in memory of his late father; and Keter CEO Jonathan Kolodny.
2. Zoya Cherkassky-Nnadi
An exhibition of the works of artist Zoya Cherkassky- Nnadi recently opened at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Cherkassy-Nnadi’s work explores the experience of immigration to Israel from the USSR in the 1990s. Prof. Ido Bruno, the new director of the museum, and Amitai Mendelson, the curator of the exhibition, welcomed guests.
3. Zumo museum
Last Friday morning, Batia and Idan Ofer hosted the launching of the portable Zumo museum in their home on Rothschild Street. The high-quality contemporary works of art will be transported from one place to another so that Israelis all over the country will have a chance to view the collection. This social project is being led by Milena Gitzin-Adiram and is supported by Mifal Hapais, the Arison Foundation, and Batia and Idan Ofer. Attending were Ronit Reichman-Lahat, the business manager of the project, her husband Dan Lahat, and her father, Uriel Reichman, and Liora Ofer.
4. Taste of Michelin
David Cohen, CEO of the David Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv, brought back the Taste of Michelin Festival for the second year in a row. Executive chef Alfred Jevnisek hosted Michelin star chef Daniel Corey of the Luce restaurant at the InterContinental San Francisco. Corey was invited to cook dishes that offered his own unique interpretation of local culinary scene. Attending were hotel owners Judith and Henry Take; Fergus Stewart, vice president, Luxury Hotels Division, Europe; and Peter Koehler, regional director of Operations – Northern California and general manager of the InterContinental San Francisco.
5. Lexus Israel
The Lexus Israel management held a festive cocktail event at the end of last week to celebrate the launching of the Lexus LS 500, the brand’s new flagship. CEO of Lexus Israel Dror Goralnik welcomed guests, including Japanese Ambassador to Israel Koji Tomita and Rie Matsumoto, Japanese Commercial Attache in Israel.
