'Kassams an obstacle to peace'

Israel has complained to the UN. Has there been any response from the UN? The General Secretary is usually quite quick to criticize Israel for anything, why is he dragging his feet about condemning Hamas?

Your argument is ridiculous. Hamas is firing rockets into a country that is not attacking it. This is a blatant act of war. Now, if Israel retaliates, then the argument can be made that Israel is defending it's self from rocket fire. If you can justify shooting at Israel, then you shouldn't whine when Israel shoots back.

Excuse me? Firing rockets is legitimate? And against what occupation? Israel left Gaza FIVE YEARS AGO. I'll tell you what's legitimate. Israel leveling Gaza into a parking lot. Enough is enough.

Tzvi Cooper is obviously not a member of the government, otherwise he would also recognize that Kassams are at most an obstacle to peace. But even worse, I don't think anyone insisting that shooting Kassams into Israel is an act of war and should be responded to as such could ever succeed in forming a government. Many, many Israelis are similar to ostriches preferring to bury their heads in the sand rather than face the stark reality that they are surrounded by people who one way or the other want to kill them. They would much rather engage in fanciful "peace processes" that allow their enemies to shoot them dead one at a time rather than raise their heads out of the muck and fight.

A genocidal illegal entity is attempting to murder Jews. They are occupying Jewish land in the east, and refuse to go to the land that was allocated to them; "palestine" presently and temporarily known as "jordan" They wish to carry out genocide on the Jewish people. All their actions are illegitimate, criminal, and illegal. The leadership and people of this entity have consciously chosen this path, so the nation of Israel in legitimate self defence, punishes them. They have no rights. When they emerge from the moral sewer they are in (and you) then we can think about rights.

The Kassam attacks are not the equivalent of war crimes they ARE war crimes. The retaliation has to be much much bigger before the aggression might stop.

It is disheartening that these Qassem attacks have to occur, but they do represent legitimate asymmetric protest and resistance against a militarily powerful neighborhood bully. The rockets, however, are becoming more sophisticated in explosive power and electronic guidance, so perhaps the resistance in the future will not be quite so asymmetric.

we need to fire a bunch of press agents in the defense ministry and prime minister's office. missiles are not an obstacle to peace. THEY ARE AN ACT OF WAR!
