IDF foils attempted terror attack at Gaza border fence

Soldiers identify a group of armed men approaching security fence near Kibbutz Erez and kill 3; IDF reports no soldier casualties.

An IDF force foiled an attempted terror attack when it opened fire on a group of men approaching the security fence between Gaza and southern Israel carrying firearms an an RPG launcher, near Kibbutz Erez, on Sunday.
According to Palestinian sources, three were killed as a result of the IDF fire, a 91-year-old farmer, his 17-year-old grandson and another 20-year-old male.

The IDF did not report any soldiers injured in the incident.
Earlier Sunday, the IDF identified multiple individuals attempting to come close to the security fence and fired warning shots, according to the IDF Spokesperson.
The IDF also spotted two projectiles crashing into Israel, possibly mortar or rockets.
