Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad on Monday said that his forces arrested hundreds of Hamas members since the fatal terrorist attack last week that left four Israeli citizens dead, Army Radio reported.
"The decision to carry out the attack was politically motivated and intended to embarrass the Palestinian Authority," Fayyad told Palestinian journalists.

Fayyad added that the chance of failure in peace talks between Netanyahu and Abbas is much greater than the chance of them succeeding.
Meanwhile the IDF announced that it has increased its forces in the West Bank amid assessments that Hamas will continue to trying to perpetrate terror attacks as Israeli-Palestinian peace talks continue.
Two battalions were transferred to the West Bank last week and were deployed along the roads to man checkpoints and patrol highways in an effort to prevent additional shooting attacks.
