E. J'lem demolition forces attacked

Arab driver killed after hitting 3 border policemen overseeing demolition of bulldozer terrorist's home.

An Arab motorist was shot and killed in east Jerusalem Tuesday morning after hitting three border policemen who were overseeing the demolition of the home of a Palestinian terrorist who carried out a fatal bulldozer attack in Jerusalem last year. Police said the man ran over the three security men as they stood at a Sur Bahir checkpoint, safeguarding operations to demolish the home of Hussam Dwayat. In July 2008 Dwayat carried out the first in a series of bulldozer attacks, killing three people and wounding dozens in the capital's Jaffa Road. He was shot dead by security personnel. The Arab driver was shot by security forces and critically wounded, but later died of his wounds.
