Samuel L. Jackson, one of the most prolific actors in Hollywood, drew fire from Twitter users on Sunday after he tweeted a selfie as he stood alongside the Salute to Israel Parade in New York.

Jackson photographed himself as he passed alongside the procession, which is an annual event that draws tens of thousands to New York's Fifth Avenue who gather to pay homage to the State of Israel.

Jackson's tweet was met with cold responses from pro-Palestinian supporters who decried his decision to "support an apartheid state."
