Fall for Falstaff
The Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra ends its 2012-2013 season with two operas by Verdi, Otello and Falstaff, with musical director Zubin Mehta conducting an international cast of soloists and the Gary Bertini Israeli Choir.

Veteran singer Cliff Richard, 72, who performed in Israel more than 20 years ago, will give two concerts in Tel Aviv. He has sold more than 260 million records worldwide and is best known for his songs “Devil Woman,” ”We Don’t Talk Anymore,” “The Young Ones,” “Summer Holiday” and “Congratulations.”

Look up
The Israeli Ballet Company will perform on tower scaffolding as a tribute to The White City in cooperation with the building company. The tower, located at 36 Rothschild Blvd., was designed by awardwinning architect Richard Mayer. The performance will accentuate the dissonance between classical ballet and the modern glass and chrome building. Free.

ART Remember the Spring
Noga Shatz presents a solo exhibition at the Alfred Gallery entitled “Arab Spring,” exhibiting large-scale and expressive oil paintings and minimalist watercolor and ink paintings on paper. Through the term that symbolizes the beginning of hope and revolution, the artist offers the viewer a possibility of interpretation of the exhibition: the first seed of hope beholds the possibility of failure and destruction.

Meet Nicole
Books from around the world, a series of events in conjunction with the International Authors upcoming Festival, at Mishkenot Sha’ananim, Jerusalem, opens with an evening of American literature. The event includes a panel discussion, a short concert and an interview with acclaimed American- Jewish author Nicole Krauss, recently appointed co-director of the festival.
