Hezbollah arrested three people it suspects of running a spy network for Israel and the United States, pan-Arab news channel Al Arabiya reported Tuesday.
The Jerusalem Post could not verify the veracity of the report.
The three suspects were identified as Mohammed al-Husseini, Jihad Jaloul and Mohammed al-Sabaa, all of whom were arrested in a suburb of southern Beirut.
According to the report, the three agents had been active members of Hezbollah and provided both the CIA and Mossad with information about the terrorist group.
Sources close to Hezbollah refused to comment on the report. "I cannot comment on the issue. I don’t have any information about it," said Lebanese MP Ali Fayyad according to the Lebanese Daily Star.
Such arrests of alleged Hezbollah spies are carried out occasionally by the organization.
