Arab League backs direct talks

It,s sounds all nice and dandy these so called direct talks but the constant raising of the bar and more concessions, for zilch in return by the Arab League, will just lead to more frustration and bitterness amongst the Arab/Palestian ranks ,the original mandate of May 1948 called for two states living side by side etc.why we still have this farce is damning indictment of Arab politics and disunity ,so how much longer before Jordan is accepted as the original Palestinian state and governed like it ?

I believe the vast majority of Israelites want peace. The problem is on the Palestinians yes a high Majority of them wants peace to but there are enough that don’t and they will ruin any peace that is reached. They are mad at the world and just want to kill. The Palestinians must find one voice amongst Themselves before peace can be kept with anyone.

as the 'Palestinians'today because 'the Palestina people' have long since been dead and gone in the pages of Histry. and the Arab Refugees can rest in peace in the land set up specially for them - in Jordann. Palestinnians could also be referring to the Jews livigunder the RomanOccupation..therefore blame Arafat for the problems you face today, go to Jordan, take Hanayeh with you, and leave Israel alome

Arabs mwy not be as talented in winning wars, but they certainly know the 'tricks' in winning the 'Peace'. But they haven't won yet, so that maybe there is a chance that Israel will, because there will NEVER be Peace in the foreseeable future anyways.

The Pals will demand an impossible to deliver list of requirements - and the talks will fail...(good) the only option is to negotiate the Pals for a move to Jordan. There are no such people as Palestinians - and if Bibi should forget this, then he is a fool.

here again the arabs league does not make a decision. it is really funny that the group that seems to have interests on the issue can nix any agreement reached in the past and now if one is reached in the future between the pa and israel can again nix it. the eu and the us should now ask for the arab league to join the talks as a number of the members are still at war with israel. they are responsible for the expulsion of 800,000 jews from their countries without their properties and wealth in 1948 and subsequent years

Fatah option is US State Dept fiction and doesn't exist in reality. Only power keeping Fatah alive and preventing West Bank from turning into another Gaza under Hamas, is the Israeli army. Solutions: (a) Gaza: Under linkage to Egypt or Jordan, turned into Dubai-like indl/comml hub on East Med; (b) West Bank: Parts federated with Jordan, safeguarding security & settlements for Israel, demographics for Arabs, holy sites for both. 2-State Plan doesn't make sense only if you think its aim is Peace; it makes a lot of sense if you realize it is the necessary next step along the 1974 PLO Staged Plan to dismantle Israel.
