'Palestinian hit in the head with rubber bullet'

Palestinian media report 21-year-old Ibrahim Awad was hit during clashes with IDF near Hebron; IDF checking the claims.

Palestinian media reported that a Palestinian man was shot in the head with a rubber-coated bullet on Friday, during clashes with the IDF near Hebron in the West Bank.
Palestinian news agency Ma'an quoted popular committee spokesman Yousef Abu Maria as saying that 21-year-old Ibrahim Awad was shot in the head during clashes that broke out after prayers in Beit Ummar.
The IDF said it is not aware of any Palestinians injured in the clashes, during which Palestinian protesters hurled stones at soldiers, and that it is checking the claims, Israel Radio reported.
Also on Friday, an IDF officer was lightly injured by a marble thrown at him during clashes with Palestinian protesters near Hebron, Israel Radio reported.
A Border policewoman was also lightly injured from stones thrown at her by Palestinians in Bil’in. She was evacuated to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba for further treatment.
