US Secretary of State condemned Thursday's attack on a Shiite mosque in Iran that killed 22 people, calling it "horrific," on Thursday, AFP reported."I condemn in the strongest possible terms today's terrorist attacks claimed by Jundallah that targeted Iranians at a mosque in the Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran," Clinton said in a statement. "The United States extends its sympathy to the families and loved ones of those injured and killed. We also call for the perpetrators of this horrific attack to be held accountable for their actions.""This attack, along with the recent attacks in Uganda, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Algeria, underscores the global community's need to work together to combat terrorist organizations that threaten the lives of innocent civilians all around the world," Clinton reportedly added.An Iranian official said the toll for the explosion outside a mosque Thursday night has risen to 22 and may increase further.Ali Mohammad Azad, governor general of Sistan-Baluchistan province told state TV that "some 22 people were killed instantly" in the twin bombing in the southeastern city of Zahedan, and many of the 160 injured are in serious condition.Azad said Friday that "investigations on finding the responsible party will continue despite one group already claiming responsibility." He did not name the group.The area is home to the Jundallah insurgency, a Sunni group that has killed scores in recent years
