Haniyeh's Israeli sisters convicted of visiting Gaza without permit
According to the prosecution, the two women entered Gaza via Egypt to circumvent the ban on their traveling to the Strip.

The Beersheba Magistrate's Court on Wednesday convicted two sisters of Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh for illegally crossing into Gaza to visit him as part of a plea bargain.The two – Tzav’ah Bat Abud Elsalem Haniyeh and Leila Bat Abud Elsalem Abu Rakik – had previously requested permission to cross into Gaza for the visit and Israel had denied their request.According to the prosecution, the two women entered Gaza via Egypt to circumvent the ban on their traveling to the Strip.The sisters became Israeli citizens after marrying Israelis.They were indicted in July 2013, but agreed to an amended indictment as part of the deal.There sentencing was scheduled for June 25 with no agreement between the parties on that issue.
