X-ray system at Ben-Gurion airport breaks down, grounds all flights

Thousands of travelers stuck at Ben-Gurion airport since early morning due to technical failure; issue resolved after hours of delays.

Thousands of travelers were stuck at Ben-Gurion airport in Lod on Sunday morning due to a technical failure of the airport's computer system, including the X-ray machines that checks suitcases.

online reported that the system that failed is new and according to workers at the airport, often causes troubles.

The issue was first reported around 5 a.m, and continued for hours into the day, when it was finally resolved by the afternoon.
