“My rainbow I have placed in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant been Myself and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I cause clouds to come upon the earth, that the rainbow will appear in the cloud.”
Do you have any Bible Verses that provide you comfort?
Biblical verses are all around us. Our individual interpretation of specific quotations is personal and significant, and one that will be displayed in our home must speak to our souls, much as we speak in our own way to G-d.
I glance up several times a day at this quote encased in an ornate and gleaming frame hanging on the wall in my home. It sits silently yet powerfully by the print of Jerusalem my father left to me in his will. A simple phrase, two short sentences but they mean so very much to me, bringing peace and inspiration when I feel despair and sadness.
So, how do you choose the special verse that’s just right for your home?
Have a look at what’s available – hanging blessings tend to focus on the most well-loved and meaningful quotes. Have a look and see if something speaks to you.

You may have just become a parent and would like a verse which represents this stage in your lives as a family, so you would search for the word: child or ילד  (in Hebrew) and then read the verses that include it you find one with the right sentiment, an example would be the son’s blessing:

Should you be blessed like Efraim & Menashe

Girls also have their own special blessing “May God make you as Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leah.”

Do you or someone you have a Biblical name? It’s the perfect place to start.
This could be a name: yours, your partner’s or child’s or a relevant word or emotion. An example could be the story of Ruth, much appreciated and well known in Judaism as a story of devotion, loyalty, strength and love. You may be looking for a verse that represents your faith within your family, or your love towards someone, and you could choose a blessing:
Do not entreat me to leave you, to return from following you, for wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people and your God my God. Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. So may the Lord do to me and so may He continue, if anything but death separate me and you.

Another example would be that you want a verse in-keeping with the style of your home but still with a specific meaning. A perfect verse for this purpose can be found in the story of Daniel, after Daniel is asked to interpret the King’s dreams he replies:

"May the Name of God be blessed from everlasting even to everlasting, to Whom are wisdom and might. And He changes the times and the seasons, He removes kings and sets up kings; He grants wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who know understanding. He reveals the profound and secret things; He knows what is in the dark, and light dwells with Him.”
It’s a pertinent verse with undertones of Jewish faith but with a lovely image of light and dark which would work beautifully as a piece of art on your wall.
A popular choice for faith artwork for your wall are specific generic blessings - examples of these would be a , blessing for your business or general blessings, like a hamsa with a single word such as “luck.”
You can find an eclectic array of beautifully designed and crafted versions of specific blessings available and perhaps even garner inspiration for interior design based on the beauty of a piece of crafted work.
Choosing a biblical verse to display on your wall can seem a daunting challenge, but with a little soul (and Google..) searching, you can make personal connections with many stories to find that special meaningful phrase to keep on your wall to serve as your own inspiration and haven of peace:
“Oh God, You have been our refuge in every generation. Before the mountains came into being, before You brought forth the earth and the world, from eternity to eternity”
— Psalm 90.
