Mariah Carey and billionaire boyfriend in Israel for ‘pre-engagement spiritual meeting’

The famous singer and her beau have been on a Mediterranean cruise recently.

American singer Mariah Carey is in Israel with her Australian billionaire boyfriend James Packer for a “pre-engagement spiritual meeting” with an unnamed “spiritual leader,” the TMZ entertainment website reported.
Carey and Packer, who have known each other for several months, have been on a Mediterranean cruise recently on Packer’s 88-meter yacht. They were photographed walking hand-in-hand in Capri, Italy, and also visited Cannes and Antibes in France.
Packer is the son of the late media mogul Kerry Packer and grandson of Sir Frank Packer.
He inherited control of the family company, Consolidated Press Holdings Limited, which controls investments in Crown Resorts, Ratpac Entertainment, Zhoapin Pty Ltd and other companies.
Forbes Asia magazine assessed Packer’s net worth at $4.7 billion in January 2015, which would make him the fourth richest Australian.
In April, his business partner, Hollywood producer Brett Ratner, said at the Anti-Defamation League Entertainment Industry Awards that Packer had purchased a home in Caesarea next to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence, and had acquired Israeli citizenship.
Packer’s office denied the claim. There is no doubt, however, that Packer is expanding his business interests in Israel.
“The trip has strongly reinforced my view of the investment opportunities and incredible tech ecosystem in Israel,” he told The Australian newspaper from Tel Aviv earlier this month, while visiting the country with a delegation of Australian businesspeople.
