1. Philharmonic Orchestra
Last week, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) celebrated its 80th anniversary with a special festive evening for Friends of the Philharmonic at the Tel Aviv Culture Palace. The evening began with a concert conducted by maestro Zubin Mehta and featuring pianist Yefim Bronfman, Pinchas Zukerman and Philharmonic players. CEO of the Philharmonic Foundation, Tali Barash-Gottlieb, and CEO of the Philharmonic, Aviv Shoshani, hosted the hundreds of guests from Israel and abroad, who arrived especially for the anniversary. After the concert, the guests were invited to a gourmet dinner at the Tel Aviv Hilton’s luxurious ballroom. Chairwoman of the 80th anniversary event, Ruti Shetreet, thanked Mehta and the Hilton for hosting, and Bank Hapoalim – Platinum Banking, which sponsored the evening. Among the people who received commendation were: Shirley and Frank Louie, Kobi and Judith Richter, Morris Kahn and Chaim Katzman.
2. Ronit Rafael
Cosmetics magnate Ronit Rafael recently arrived in Israel after visiting one of her beauty centers in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The trip was part of Rafael’s current international campaign tour to promote her new vitamin C-based treatment.
Rafael and her sister, Yafit Rafael, CEO of the company’s Israel operations, hosted presenters Ruby Porat-Shoval, Sandra Sadeh, and Limor Goldstein at a lunch at Claro at the Tel Aviv Sarona Market.
3. Neopharm
The Neopharm Group recently hosted a gala event with hundreds of employees to celebrate its 75th anniversary at the Art Club in Tel Aviv. Neopharm Chairman and CEO David Fuhrer spoke about the group’s past achievements and its goals for the next 25 years. Sarit Hadad performed and got all the guests up on their feet dancing until the wee hours of the night. Afterwards, Fuhrer was presented with a surprise cake for his 64th birthday by his wife Michal Fuhrer, his son Tal (and wife Hadas) and his daughter Nili (and husband Tal Rabinowitz). Fuhrer’s close friends Super- Pharm CEO Leon Koffler and his wife Racheli Mishori also came to celebrate Fuhrer’s birthday.
4. Isracard
Chairman of Isracard Group Ronen Stein, and Isracard CEO Ron Wexler, welcomed 400 premium and private clients, as well as company business partners to join them for the third night candle-lighting for Hanukka. After mingling and hors d’oeuvres, Isracard CFO Ram Gav said the blessings and lit the candles, and then everyone joined in singing along. Afterwards, singer/songwriter Ehud Banai performed in a private concert for guests.
