David Amsalem is an Israeli lawmaker and member of the Likud Party, and is the country's current regional cooperation minister, ministerial liaison to the Knesset, and a minister in the Justice Ministry.
In the past, Amsalem also served as communications minister and cyber and digital affairs minister.
Zena was listed in a 2019 Noam party blacklist which detailed LGBTQ+ figures in media, academics that were feminist, and other government officials perceived as problematic.
"She is a security liability and a true danger to the country's stability," minister David Amsalem charged.

Anti-racism czar Aweke Kobe Zena's contract was not continued and activists theorize it is due to a blacklist from the Noam party.
