This comes after a recent string of violent attacks and riots both inside sovereign Israel and at border crossings and checkpoints in the West Bank and Gaza.
Amid the riots, Palestinian terrorists reportedly launched incendiary and explosive balloons from Gaza toward Israel.
It was also decided on Tuesday morning that the Erez crossing at the Israel-Gaza Strip border would remain closed to Gazans throughout Tuesday.
During the riots, explosives were thrown at an IDF jeep, with soldiers responding with live fire.
Security guards and a K9 Unit at the Erez Crossing were responsible for catching the smuggling attempt.
