The plan would entail Israeli forces occupying Lebanese territory between the Litani River and Israel’s northern border in an effort to reduce the threat posed by Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah.

The Lebanese news agency reported that shrapnel from an interception had landed over a series of towns north of Beirut and led to some light wounds.

The Treasury said Alaa Hamieh owns multiple Hezbollah-associated companies, including Lebanon-based Seven Seas SAL Offshore, Seven Seas Group S.A.R.L, and others.

At a meeting with the military chief of staff, Katz said Israeli forces would "control the remaining bridges and the security zone up to the Litani," a river that meets the Mediterranean.

In Kibbutz Dafna, life under sirens and rockets continues, but residents remain steadfast.

The decision comes after a week of meetings between Lebanese officials and other leaders from the region, many of whom have been on the receiving end of Iranian attacks.

The IDF also located and destroyed a Hezbollah terror tunnel near Mount Dov, along the Israel-Lebanon border in the Upper Galilee.

The Israel Fire and Rescue Authority announced that firefighters had been dispatched to Tel Aviv and extinguished several vehicle fires.

Jonathan Alkhouri described the increase in public criticism of the terror group as a phenomenon he calls “cracks in the fear mechanism.”

The capture occured during an operation to locate weapons in the area • IDF troops discovered several armed Hezbollah Radwan Force operatives active at an anti-tank missile launch point.
