A US congressional committee on Wednesday accused Columbia University's president of failing to protect Jewish students on campus.
The European Union of Jewish Students said that its delegation had been publicly humiliated, despite its recent efforts to promote dialogue and counter polarization.
Despite the college’s stated reasoning for rescinding pre-approval of the Haifa program, the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel celebrated the decision.
The student resolution resolved to cut financial ties with companies interacting with Israel and called on the Regents of the University of California to follow suit.
A university official said the groups have not yet agreed to adhere to university rules that would allow their reinstatement.

The GW chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine has become the third to be suspended in US universities amid a rise in antisemitic incidents.
