Rallies 'not an indication of Israeli-Arabs' feelings'

Thousands took part in this week's demonstrations in the North and South of Israel marking the 35th annual Land Day – the Israeli Arab protest day against land expropriations by the state.This year's events included a rally in the city of Lod, where a photograph of Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman was set on fire.For some perspective on Land Day and the media's focus on the burning of the the foreign minister's picture, Inside Israel interviewed Dr. Amal Jamal, who heads the executive program in political science at Tel Aviv University: Dr. Jamal is the first Arab citizen of Israel to hold a senior position at Tel Aviv University.
