Late winter delays almond tree blossom

Audio slide show looking at Israel's almond tree, now in full bloom throughout the country.

The Almond Trees of Israel usually blossom around Tu Bishvat in January, however a late winter meant that the tress only began blossoming at the beginning of March.
The Almond Tree is an important part of Israeli culture and was first planted in the country by the Jewish National Fund over 100 years ago.
