Deputy defense minister demands Israel cut off fuel, electricity supply to Gaza
July 9, 2014 09:46

Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon called on the government Wednesday to immediately cut off fuel and electricity supplies to the Gaza Strip.

“It is inconceivable that on the one hand we fight Hamas and on the other we provide fuel and electricity that are used to transport missiles that are fired at us,” Danon said. “We are in a campaign against Hamas, which is firing missiles at Israel’s citizens.”

“We need to use all of the levers of pressure that we have at our disposal in order to bring Hamas to sue for a ceasefire.”
