A 49-year-old worker who was working at the top of a 30-meter-high date tree in Tel Aviv’s Rehov Rabbenu Tam on Monday died after being caught under a cluster of dates.
When the man lost consciousness, passersby called Magen David Adom for help, and paramedics and medics in ambulances and on motorcycles arrived quickly to help him. But the man, who was cutting the branches, died on the spot even though a crane was brought to reach him.
