Two months before the first vehicles reach Delek Motors’ showrooms, early orders for the new BMW iX3 have opened.
Unlike the first generation, the new iX3 is built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, and together with a new design, it represents the new model lineup from the Bavarian manufacturer that will hit the roads in the coming years, including the intriguing i3 sedan.
The key figure it presents, nearly double the previous generation: An official range of 801 km, alongside fast charging from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes. There is also a new user interface, highlighted mainly by a panoramic display stretching across the cabin, alongside a central screen for multimedia control and customization of the apps shown on the panoramic display.
From a design perspective, BMW returns to a smaller illuminated kidney grille, with a relatively aerodynamic design and a drag coefficient of 0.24 compared to 0.29 in the previous generation. In the driver’s area, instead of the common dual connected screens, there is a large display next to the driver (about 18 inches).
The dimensions have grown: 4.78 meters in length, 1.90 meters in width, 1.635 meters in height, and a wheelbase of 2.89 meters. The trunk has a capacity of 520 liters. The curb weight is not light: 2,360 kg.
The first version to arrive in Israel features all-wheel drive, 460 horsepower, 0–100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, and a top speed of 210 km/h. A 108 kWh battery provides an official combined range of 801 km, currently the longest in its category, with AC charging at 22 kW and DC fast charging at 400 kW.
The lineup includes three trim levels:
Range Ultra (starting from NIS 490,000) with 20-inch wheels, a 17.9-inch central screen, a 43.3-inch panoramic display, and a head-up display. It also includes a Kardon Harman sound system with 13 speakers, an active noise cancellation system, electrically adjustable heated front seats with 7 back massage programs, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital key, and more.
Safety: Autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and lane departure prevention, surround-view cameras, and automatic parking. There is also a dashcam with automatic accident recording.
Pro M-Sport model (starting from NIS 530,000) adds a sporty design package and 21-inch wheels.
Extreme M-Sport model (starting from NIS 545,000) adds 22-inch wheels and the ability to park the vehicle remotely via a smartphone, along with automatic memory of a driving path up to 200 meters and assistance when reversing along the same path.
Warranty: 3 years or 100,000 km for the vehicle, and 8 years or 160,000 km for the battery.
