This will happen this coming October in Jerusalem. Haim Cohen, the chef behind the restaurants "Yaffa Tel Aviv", "Dixie", "Meriam" and the new wine bar "Wine House", will arrive for the first time in the Holy City with a new restaurant dedicated to deep-rooted Jerusalem cuisine.

Jeruz will open toward the end of summer in the "Shamai" Hotel, adjacent to the Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall, and will be a kosher restaurant. Concurrent with the opening of the place, Cohen will lead the hotel's culinary direction, from breakfasts to the outdoor pool complex – where a meat menu will be served.

In an interview with N12, Cohen said: "When you are identified as a Tel Avivan and you come to another city, it is not simple. But fortunately, I have roots and family in Jerusalem, and I am also always identified as a Jerusalemite, Urfali and everything. And the Jerusalemites also really love me, and I love them."
