Sovev Jerusalem 2026, Israel's largest cycling event, will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026, for the 12th time, initiated by the Jerusalem Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Sport. More than 5,000 professional and amateur riders are expected to participate in the event, alongside families and children from all over the country.
The event will set off from the First Station compound in Jerusalem and will include four riding routes with lengths of 50 km, 30 km, 15 km, and an 8 km family route. All routes will pass through the historical and natural landscapes of Jerusalem and its surroundings.
Among the sites the riders will pass through: The Old City, City of David National Park, Emek Tzurim, Mount Scopus, Nahal Tzofim, Nahal Sorek Park, Arazim Park, the Jerusalem hills, Aminadav Forest, Reches Lavan, the Gihon Tunnel, the Zoo, and the Train Track Park.
The municipality notes that Sovev Jerusalem is the only cycling event in Israel that fully encircles the city and combines nature, urban scenery, and historical sites, alongside climbs and descents that characterize the capital's unique topography.
Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Lion: "There is no other city in Israel that offers a riding experience like Jerusalem. Between the walls of the Old City, the mountains, the forests, and the breathtaking views, Sovev Jerusalem has become one of the most prominent and exciting sporting events in Israel. I invite everyone to take part in a Jerusalem celebration of sport, nature, and unity."
