Buying a smartphone doesn’t end with the device itself; it also requires essential accessories such as a screen protector and a protective case. The variety of cases available for the Galaxy S26 Ultra is wide - though not as extensive as for iPhones - but still better than what some competing brands offer.
We’ve gathered several cases across a range of prices and capabilities to help you keep your smartphone protected over time.
Model: ZAGG – Crystal Palace Snap
Colors: Clear
Store: Go Mobile
Price: NIS 80
ZAGG is a company I’ve learned to appreciate for the durability it offers, thanks to its effective screen protectors for smartphones. In this case, we’re looking at the Crystal Palace Snap, a transparent case. One of the issues with clear cases is that over time they tend to turn yellow and look unattractive. ZAGG claims its case will remain clear and glossy thanks to a technology it calls “Anti-Yellowing.” It will be interesting to see how it performs over time.
This case provides drop protection from heights of up to 4 meters, thanks to a combination of graphene material that strengthens the structure without adding bulk. For a more comfortable grip, the edges of the case have a textured finish, which also helps prevent the phone from slipping out of your hand. This case also includes a magnetic ring for attaching compatible accessories.
Model: OtterBox – Symmetry
Colors: Clear, Glitter, and Black
Store: Dynamica
Price: NIS 260
OtterBox is a long-established American company known for its rugged smartphone cases. The Symmetry model offers a slim body but compromises on protection compared to the company’s more heavy-duty cases. I tested the clear version (there are also black and glitter variants), which also includes two small holes at the bottom left for attaching a strap (which, of course, the company will be happy to sell you as well). The back of the case includes a silver magnetic ring for attaching MagSafe-compatible accessories.
In terms of durability, the company states that the case has been tested according to U.S. military drop standards and is three times stronger than them, meaning it can survive 26 drops from a height of 1.2 meters. According to OtterBox, it is designed to survive 78 drops, but not necessarily from triple the height. It is mainly intended for everyday drops from desks or pockets.
The Symmetry has raised edges that protect the screen and camera, but they still create a slight imbalance when the phone is placed on a flat surface. As a result, even when placing the Ultra on a table, it continues to wobble slightly.
The case feels pleasant to the touch, and its glossy transparent finish raises the question of how long it will maintain its appearance. The button covers remain responsive, with a relatively soft tactile feel.
Model: Samsung – Silicon Magnet Case
Colors: Black, blue, gray, light blue, white, and red
Store: Samsung retail stores – Sunny
Price: NIS 150
Samsung’s official case (or at least one of its official cases) is the Silicon Magnet Case. As expected, it is made of silicone and feels smooth, soft, and pleasant to the touch. The only textured element is the magnetic ring for magnetic charging (MagSafe), which is present here.
Samsung states that the finish is designed to be durable over time and resistant to wear. Of course, it was difficult to fully test this during my review period, but at least in the black version I tested, dirt is likely to be less noticeable. While this is a thin and pleasant case, Samsung does not specify any drop protection it provides. Unlike other cases in this review, this one is mainly intended to protect against minor damage.
Model: Miracase – MiraKick & MiraRing
Colors: Clear
Store: Various retailers
Price: NIS 100
Miracase is a brand responsible for a wide range of mobile accessories (a brand of the importer Benda), and it also offers several case models for the Ultra. The MiraKick model combines a practical solution of a built-in metal kickstand.
This is a 2 mm-thick transparent case with a scratch-resistant coating designed to preserve its appearance over time. It also has a frame made of TPU - a combination of hard plastic and soft silicone - which provides shock absorption during drops and flexibility that helps prevent the case from cracking. The plastic is also designed to remain clear over time and not turn yellow. The case includes a raised camera frame for lens protection. According to its specifications, it is rated for drops of up to 3 meters under military standard testing. Like other cases, it also includes a magnetic ring for accessory attachment.
What’s nice about the MiraKick is the built-in kickstand, which allows you to prop the phone up vertically or horizontally on a table and watch videos without needing to find something to lean it against. It’s a practical solution that works well, and I hope it remains durable over time and doesn’t break easily.
Another Miracase model is the MiraRing. It includes roughly the same specifications as the previous model, except it is rated for drops of up to 1.5 meters. It also includes a strap attachment point, and on the back there is a rotating 360-degree ring that allows you to stand the phone at different viewing angles, both horizontally and vertically.
