Three gold medals at the Eshkol Hazahav 2026 competition join an impressive line of achievements for Jerusalem Wineries Agricultural Cooperative, which continues to establish its status as one of the most prominent and respected wineries in Israel.
The winery, identified for years with the city of Jerusalem, has enjoyed significant growth momentum in recent years, including expanding its operations, strengthening the brand, winning competitions in Israel and worldwide, and deepening its presence in restaurants, wine shops, and leading culinary hotspots.
In the recent competition, the winery scooped three gold medals, alongside a silver medal and two bronze medals. The two white wines from the premium series, Sauvignon Blanc 2025 and White Blend 2025, won first place in their category.
Ofer Guetta, co-owner of the winery, addressed the win and said: "Three gold medals are not a victory for a single bottle, but a statement about professional depth and quality that exists every step of the way. We feel that Jerusalem Wineries has long been in the conversation at the pinnacle of Israeli wine, but we continue to work as if we still have to prove ourselves every single day."
According to Guetta, the connection to Jerusalem continues to be an inseparable part of the winery's identity. "Jerusalem is the heart of the story. If we bring home titles, it is not just for the winery, it is also for the most amazing and beautiful city in the world," he said.
Alongside the winemaking activity, the winery operates a visitor center in Mishkenot Sha'ananim in Jerusalem and another center in the Museum Quarter in Petah Tikva, as part of the move to expand exposure to new audiences and strengthen the brand experience.
The winery notes that in recent years there has been an increase in demand for white wines, a trend that is also reflected in the recent wins. "The Israeli public is looking for fresher, more balanced, and precise wines," Guetta explained. "To see our white wines crowned in first place is proof that we are succeeding in identifying trends and executing them at a high level."
