Starting this week, a dedicated waiting parking lot is operating free of charge for the first hour for drivers coming to pick up passengers from Ben Gurion Airport. The parking lot allows waiting until the arrival of the passengers, without risking traffic safety or receiving a fine.
The Israel Airports Authority reminds the public that stopping or waiting on the shoulders of the roads within the Ben Gurion Airport area is prohibited and endangers traffic. Enforcement in the area is carried out through a camera system deployed throughout Ben Gurion Airport, and drivers who violate the guidelines face a fine of NIS 500.
The new parking lot is located just a few minutes away from the terminal and can be navigated to via Waze by searching: "Hourly waiting parking lot – Ben Gurion Airport".
