Hadash-Ta’al party leader MK Ayman Odeh compared United States President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler and called Trump's allies “bootlickers” in a post on X/Twitter on Tuesday.

Odeh declared that the world is in a “shallow era," “an era of cheap opportunism, where principles are replaced by gestures and values melt in the face of power.”

“Everyone bows to the 'leader of the free world,' Trump, just as they once bowed to others,” Odeh said. “In the 1930s, Chamberlain and Daladier bowed to Hitler, along with other leaders across Europe.”

Odeh’s post included a screenshot of a photo posted by Trump, which featured a map with a US flag superimposed on top of the US, Canada, Greenland, and Venezuela.

He alleged that those who bowed to Hitler “conceded a little, stayed silent a little, and hoped the storm would pass,” adding that “the storm did pass, but at the cost of millions of lives.”

'Only the bootlickers survive'

“Today, too, there are those who flatter,” Odeh said, criticizing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other world leaders for flattering Trump, comparing them to those who “bowed to Hitler,” alleging that they do so “because they believe that in this world, only the bootlickers survive.”

“History, as it always does, did not forgive,” Odeh asserted. “But as long as there are people willing to speak truth to power and fight for justice without fear, there is still hope.”

Odeh previously called for the Israeli public to "do everything, absolutely everything, to remove Netanyahu."
