Halutz 33, the Ayalim Association’s live-music club in Beersheba’s Old City, announced a full January program featuring leading Israeli artists, with the first show on Tuesday. The monthlong series aims to create high-quality, diverse cultural life in the Negev, the association said. The schedule includes Yehali Sobol, Shem-Tov Levi, Rona Kenan, Hila Ruach, and others, according to the venue’s announcement.

The season opens Jon Tuesday with Haringman Collective, a free hip-hop, jazz-psych set. On January 7, singer-songwriter Eric Berman returns for an intimate acoustic show. On January 8, Shem-Tov Levi performs a set focused on his collaborations with Arik Einstein, with guest Itay Perl.

Mid-month shows

On Saturday night, Hila Ruach plays an immersive 360-style trio set. Rising pop voice Tohar Gadassi is slated for January 13, followed by rock act Yeled on January 14.

Indie newcomer Amar Geshen takes the stage January 21, with guest Uli Danon. Rona Kenan performs a January 22 duo set with guitarist Eran Weitz, followed by Beersheba outfit KVISA’s January 27 album-launch show and Yehali Sobol on January 29.
