The IDF on Tuesday identified six armed Gazans at the Rafah Crossing attempting to draw close to the IDF position there, the military confirmed.

Israeli media reports claimed that the terrorists emerged from an underground tunnel, using the darkness and stormy weather as cover.

Once the terrorists were located, IDF tanks arrived at the location and opened fire on the terrorists, killing two of them. The remaining four returned fire, and it is not clear whether they were hit or managed to escape.

This exchange of fire, according to the IDF's Tuesday statement, constitutes a "blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement."

This is a developing story.
