IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir met on Friday with the parents of Gaza hostage Ran Gvili at the entrance of the Kirya HQ in Tel Aviv, Army Radio reported.
Zamir stopped his vehicle and stepped out to talk with the parents of the last Israeli hostage in Gaza, assuring them that the army is "doing everything possible to bring Ran back."
He also emphasized that the mission to bring back Gvili is present in every unit of the army, "There is commitment to complete this mission, from the chief of staff to the last soldier."
Finally, he also assured that the IDF's Southern Command is constantly working to bring Gvili back home as soon as possible.
IDF insists it's optimally prepared for every situation, no changes in Home Front Command instructions
IDF Spox. Brig.-Gen. Effie Defrin insisted in a message sent before the start of Shabbat that "the IDF is ready to answer against any situation."
"It is important to emphasize that there is no change in the Home Front Command's instructions. We will make sure to update you if there is a change," Defrin said in a Friday statement.
"Continue to listen only to authorized sources and the IDF Spokesperson and do not cooperate with rumors," he added.
