The IDF on Monday confirmed that it struck and killed Ahmad Ali Salami, who served as Hezbollah’s head of artillery in the Yanouh area of Lebanon.

Regarding reports that Lebanese civilians were killed in the strike, the IDF confirmed that the incident is currently under review.

"The IDF regrets any harm to uninvolved civilians and operates to minimize harm as much as possible," the military stated.

The military, in a separate strike, killed a Hezbollah terrorist in the Ayta ash-Shaab area of southern Lebanon. The terrorist was involved in gathering intelligence on IDF soldiers operating in the region, as well as operating to rehabilitate Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure.

Additionally, IDF troops carrying out a targeted raid on a structure in southern Lebanon apprehended a senior operative from the Jamaa Islamiya - a Sunni Islamist group linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.

The suspect was transferred to Israeli territory for questioning, and weapons were located in the same building, according to the IDF.

The army said the operation followed intelligence indications gathered in recent weeks.

Lebanese media reported that the kidnapped officer was Atwi Atwi, a leader in the Jamaa Islamiya terrorist organization.

Later on Monday, Israeli security forces arrested more than 20 Palestinian terror suspects and wanted individuals in overnight raids in the West Bank.

In the Jenin-area town of Ya’bad, seven terrorists involved in weapons production and trafficking were apprehended. Another four were arrested for planning attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians.

Additionally, IDF soldiers operating in the northern Gaza Strip located a terrorist who crossed the Yellow Line and approached soldiers posing an immediate threat.

The soldiers killed the terrorist, the military confirmed.

Security forces thwart attempt to smuggle 12 pistols into Israel with drone 

On Sunday, the Israel Police and the IDF foiled an attempt to smuggle 12 pistols across Israel’s eastern border.

According to the police, the air control system identified during the night a drone that crossed from the east into the northern territory of  Israel in an attempt to smuggle weapons.

After the identification, forces from the Israel Police in the Northern District searched and located the drone and the 12 pistols that it carried.
