IDF troops completed an overnight operation to locate and dismantle a weapons storage facility belonging to the Jamaa Islamiya terrorist organization last week in the Beit Jinn area in southern Syria.
Various weapons were discovered in the facility, including guns, landmines, and communication equipment.
The Jamaa Islamiya terrorist organization has been conducting terror attacks against Israeli civilians in the North since October 7.
The operation was part of a broader effort to dismantle and prevent terrorist activity in the area.
Terrorists emerge from Rafah tunnel, open fire at IDF soldiers
The IDF and Shin Bet have conducted operations against Hamas terrorists in Gaza over the past 24 hours in response to a breach of the ceasefire agreement on Monday, in which terrorists emerged from underground terror tunnels in eastern Rafah and fired at IDF forces.
According to the IDF, the terrorists targeted in the strike were involved in planning multiple terror attacks against IDF forces.
The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to act against any attempt by terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip to carry out terror plans against IDF forces and the State of Israel.
