Israel is going to intensify its attacks against Iran in the coming days, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement on Sunday.

Netanyahu, who made the statement atop the roof of the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv, also said, "Yesterday, we eliminated the dictator Khamenei. Together with him, we eliminated dozens of senior officials of the oppressive regime."

"Our forces are now in the heart of Tehran with increasing strength, and this will only increase even more in the coming days," Netanyahu announced.

"We are in a campaign in which we are bringing the entire strength of the IDF, as never before, to this campaign to ensure our existence and our future," the Prime Minister added and recognised the assistance provided by the United States during the operation.

"This combination of forces allows us to do what I have been hoping to do for 40 years - to strike the terrorist regime squarely in the hip. That is what I promised - and that is what we will do," he said.

Mourning losses in Tel Aviv, Beit Shemesh

Netanyahu also addressed the people killed during the first two days of the Operation Risining Lion, both in Tel Aviv and Beit Shemesh.

"These are painful days. Yesterday here, in Tel Aviv, and now in Beit Shemesh, we lost dear people," Netanyahu said.

"My heart goes out to the families, and on behalf of all of you, the citizens of Israel, I send my best wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded," he added.

In total, ten people have been killed during the Iranian missile attacks against Israel over the last two days.

The Beit Shemesh strike that killed nine people on Sunday also left 50 people wounded, including several children, after a missile directly struck the safe room of a building.
