IDF soldier present at Nakba Day Beitunia clash suspended for illegally firing rubber bullets
An IDF soldier who was present at last week's clash with Palestinians in Beitunia was suspended for illegally firing rubber bullets at a wall. The soldier, from a non-combat unit, used the firearm in an unlicensed manner, army sources said.

The incident is wholly unrelated to the deaths of two Palestinian rioters during the clashes.

The army is investigating the deaths, and has maintained that soldiers fired rubber bullets only during a clash with 150 Palestinians, who hurled firebombs and rocks at security personnel.
