Iron Dome intercepts two rockets from Gaza over Netivot
Four rockets land in open areas in southern Israel on Sunday evening; earlier in day IDF struck 12 targets in Gaza in response to prior Gaza attacks.
The Iron Dome anti-rocket defense system successfully intercepted two rockets fired from Gaza over the southern city of Netivot on Sunday evening, the IDF confirmed.

The IDF reported that at the same time as the rocket attack from Gaza, terrorists opened fire at soldiers near the security fence and forces responded by firing at a suspect in the vicinity.

Four more rockets fired from the Palestinian coastal enclave landed in open areas in the south on Sunday evening.

The IDF attacked 12 targets in Gaza in two waves of air strikes overnight between Saturday and Sunday. In the second wave, the air force hit nine targets, including weapons production centers and underground rocket launchers in central and southern Gaza.

A rocket fired from Gaza hit the Sderot industrial zone on Saturday night, causing a plastics factory to catch fire. At least 10 firefighting teams worked to control the flames to prevent the blaze from spreading to other buildings.
