It noted that over the past few years, the IDF and US army have "demonstrated a level of partnership, professionalism, and innovation unmatched in modern warfare."

Several progressive Jewish organizations have planned a protest at a plaza outside the United Nations, where Israeli media reported that the minister would be attending a conference on policing.

One option is to establish a new base in the Negev big enough to hold the American army’s forces, or to expand one of the Negev’s air force bases and allocate an American compound there.
