After a yearlong undercover investigation at the Ashdod Port, 15 people were arrested on suspicion of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, police said Tuesday morning.

The suspects, including some senior officials, created a mechanism by which they promoted private companies run by close associates. These associates profited directly or indirectly in return for bribes and favors, according to police.
