Aharonovitch slams Danino: He should do his job, not worry about who the next police chief will be

The battle over who will be the next police chief led to harsh words between Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch (Yisrael Beytenu) and current police chief Insp.-Gen. Yochanan Danino on Monday.
Aharonovitch took umbrage at an interview Danino gave over the weekend in which he said that the minister should not be looking outside of the ranks of the police to find his replacement. During a tour of the Temple Mount, Aharonovitch said, "That is a miserable statement from an acting police chief, who thinks he can come and give me advice."
The minister continued: "This kind of thing just shouldn't happen, so I reject it. The  police chief should worry about his own affairs and not concern himself with who will be the next chief."
