Balad chairman: Party doesn't endorse MK Zoabi's criticism of Abbas

The Balad party has harshly criticized the faction's MK Haneena Zoabi for calling Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas a "traitor" for agreeing to security coordination with Israel in light of searches for three kidnapped Israeli teenagers.

Balad chairman Wasal Taha said in a statement Zoabi's remarks did not represent the party, Israel Radio reported.

He added that the party supported the Palestinian leadership's decision and greatly respects the PA's diplomatic achievements.
